This is the trailhead behind the Daisy Mountain Fire Station on Desert Hills Road between Anthem and New River.
The Maricopa Trail is a 240 mile long trail system which provides a shared use, non-motorized trail system connecting the Maricopa County Regional Parks. The Maricopa Trail preserves and provides open space corridors protecting natural and cultural resources from development. Shared use non-motorized means it is used by hikers, mountain bikers, equestrians, unicyclists, pogo stickers, and I suppose any non-motorized use you can think of. I have my Arizona State Land Department Recreational Permit and my Maricopa Country Regional Parks System
